Security Cable/Lock
Okay, I gave up trying to deal with the "professionals" at Canadian Tire and Wal-Mart even though bluewing was a great help.

I ended up going to a local car stereo/alarm/remote starter type store and found exactly what I was seeking. If anyone is interested, check out http://www.varad.com By going to the online store and selecting visual theft deterrents and then scrolling down to the LLRE-Red item, you'll see what I bought.

It hooks up through the ignition and flashes when the ignition is off. Obviously, when the ignition is on, the LED does not function.

I'm glad you finally found one Ian. Those other places should of had them.

You have to remember where we live, Vic. Though we have several big box outlets, they don't carry much in the way of specifics. Mostly general merchandise.

Nonetheless, perserverance paid off and I hope to have it hooked up tonight.

If bluewing and I ever get together, we can have a light show!

An added bonus will be the ability to find her in the dark!

I got mine hooked up and it looks good. I put it at the top front end of the gas tank with two small pieces of stick on Velcro incase I don't like it and want to take it off. If someone decides to steal it al least they won't do any damage. You can see this thing from a long way away, it does make the bike more visible.

I think you are right about that it must be that they steal the harleys for parts bikes to try and keep the other harleys running. lol

A buddy and I installed and wired the flashing LED and hidden switch this afternoon and boy, it worked out just as I had hoped. The little LED has an adjustable flasher and I was surprised at the amount of light it puts out. We also installed a switch out of sight so the light's only flashing when I want it to.
