temp removal and relocate auto control unit

Hi folks,

I have a cb unit coming which I will be installing, to do so I will need to remove the auto volume, already in the bike,and relocate
it into the cb unit's housing.

the schematics seem to show the knobs, are of a snap in design, and can be removed by just a bit of a tug, can anyone
verify this for me?
