auto vol control
Hello fello wingers,I recently installed a cb with an AVC on my wing as it was missing when I purchased it.All the wiring was still intact and I wired it using a honda diagram, however the AVC and tone control do not seem to work.Thinking it was a defective AVC I installed a second AVC with no results.Has anyone experienced this problem?Any advise seriosly taken, thanks Moon.

Yes neo it was connected.Tell me if you know ,does the AVC work with both the headset and external speakers or just one of them?

It should work with both, at least mine does on both my 1200 LTD and my GL1500.

Fire1386,I got a reply on saunders site from a tech that works for Sierra,he stated that the AVC will only work with external speakers as they are on the output of the external amp.Thank GOD for these forums and the people that are willing to share!

You can see it at work here if you can decipher the schematic

That is very strange then, since my headsets auto change due to the speed I am going...... :-\ The faster I go the louder they play for wind and road noise

I would be curios to see if your wing was wired different than mine,I would like the AVC to work on my headsets as yours does.Moon.

Not sure if a PO has changed anything or not, will have to look closer at it when I can. I know the passenger hookup on my 85 LTD does not come from the connection at the little brown pouch on the left side any longer. That hookup must have quit working and has been unhooked and moved to the connection near the seat. I have found some other questionable changes in this bike so far, so nothing is going to surprise me from here on out....lol. When I find them, I try to look at as much information as I can to see the "proper" way it should be done and if it was or not..... so far not many have been....
