If you are still using the original panasonnic raido use your ign. key to unlock the radio and pull it out and clean all of the electrical contacts and coat them with dieletric grease (you can small packets at autozone) reinstall the radio wiggling it in and out to make sure you get good conntection, spray WD40 or PB Blaster into handel bar switch contacts and work them back and forth. This worked on my bike and it had been siting outside neglected for several years when i got it.Also use dialetric grease on any spark plugs and electriral contacts to keep out moisture and corision!

Already did all those things per radio and switch, but thanks. |

Quote:Have you checked out Whitey's yet. As I said, Karl & Deb are first rate. Hoping to be coming down you way this coming summer. I'm anxious to visit the Castro. Probably July. Hope you get your stereo working soon. Angela          Hey Angela, I did check the site but they didn't have the switch. I haven't emailed them personally yet. The Castro is one of many sites to visit here in the bay area. A lot of great day trips too. Let me know when you come...I may be off touring too, but you never know. |

had a cb volume and radio problem a couple months ago and finally traced it to a connector on the left side fairing,it was the bottom connector,it is located underneath the left side fork cover, when you take the fork cover off you will see a bracket attached to the fairing, there is a rubber cover attached to it,gently remove it,then try moving the wires around on the lower connector and see if volume increases,if it does try cleaning the connnectors up with electrical cleaner and respray with dielectric spray beforehooking them back together....hope this helps
