After tinkering with it to EXACTLY where I want my '85 GL1200 Interstate to be (front lights, marker lights, extra braking lights, powerful air horn, foot boards) I have just what I've always wanted. I guess an Aspencade would be "fun" but for how I ride it is unnecessary. I'm a big city rider surrounded by blind and stupid drivers. Typically, he'd much rather be texting his mother-in-law at a freeway exit ramp than notice there's a YIELD sign for him, and there's a motorcyclist on the main drag with the right of way about to cross his path. There's nothing like a 150 db air horn blast to stop such a bozo in his tracks. What I described happens on nearly every other drive. This is the same guy who at night seems to think an oncoming bike with a single headlight on is merely a slow moving lamp post.

After tinkering with it to EXACTLY what I want my '85 GL1200 Interstate to be, I have it all. ^Smile^ I suppose for novelty sake I'd like to once in awhile ride a late model GL1800 or even BMW K1600 GTL

which seems to be a classy machine. But really, I need not impress anyone with what's in my stable. Believe it or not, nearly every time I stop at a mall or shopping center, day or night someone comes up to me saying that's a great looking bike I'm riding ... and it's only my humble '85 GL1200 Interstate with a few extras. :d
