What's this? Not my fuel pump.
I just bought what was advertised on ebay as an 86 GL1200 Interstate Fuel Pump.
I have an Interstate what I received looks like it is for an 85 GL LTD or maybe an 86 SEI. I don't think it is a Fuel Pump.
Here is link to auction-

I think it looks like a mini vacuum canister, there are no wires leading to it just fuel line and vacuum hoses. I can return it but may have to pay shipping. If it is worth what I paid I'd sell it if someone needs one.
Dang Flea Bay.

That is an emissions return canister off of a California edition bike, part of the extra smog control equipment added to the bikes originally sold in Ca.

If you can't see what you need you have to ask for pictures/details! It's so easy to get took on there. Hope you can get it rectified. If they said it was a fuel pump they should make it right. Oh...and never buy off of them again!

I have also seen the clutch hoses being advertised as brake hoses.
I guess they forgot where they removed the hose from.

It pays to ask questions.

I am sure you can return it and not have to pay the shipping.
It was incorrectly advertised and Ebay should have a return policy about that.

Since it said it was a
HONDA 1986 GL1200 GL 1200 GOLDWING INTERSTATE FUEL PUMP & CHROME COVER

I assumed it would fit mine and that the cover made it look bigger or included something extra than just the fuel pump.
The guy said he would return my original purchase price, if I returned the item to him. In other words I eat return shipping. I wrote back offering to return it if he paid the same shipping he charged me originally plus my original PayPal sent to him.
I know I can protest this through PayPal and win, but really hate to do it.
I just think he should own up to this is not a fuel pump!
Heres a pic of what I got, I added the dime at bottom that makes it obvious this is big!
His pics didn't have a dime and I figured the extra cover and whatever made it look a little different.

i never worry about going thru ebay if i have a dispute, better and faster results happen with my credit card

besides never worry about the seller, especially if he's a power seller, just give them bad feedback, they'll will bend over backwards, ebay charges them higher seller fees if they get BAD FEEDBACK,and that's not just on your purchase, its every one after they change the rates, sellers will practically do whatever you want to straighten the problem out

sometimes wonder how ebay gets away with the selling rates they charge, if i wanted $3000 for my aspy i'd have to get about $4000 ebay to make the same amount after ebay takes their commission, check out what paypal takes out of your account, 4.75% #-O when someone sends you money, but if i need something its the first place i look,
