help have a ride in 2 weeks
ok i have a 86 SEI it started to run bad and was stalling and going through a lot of fuel 1/2 a tank in 20 miles . looked for a post that may help. found one that was the same problem his was the tps. i had no codes . so today i took off the tps and was going to adapt a new one on it .did not get that Farr . now i have the tps code and bike runs really bad . after testing everything i can think of i am lost. one thing i have found is the red/white wire has 5.04 volts but with the key off if i test it with a test light it is grounded. traced it it the ecm wire is good not plugged in to the ecu . is this normal to show volts and ground at the same time don't know where to go from here . put the old tps back on and it is the same . i will look very funny on the back of my wife's 550 nighthawk

if the plug works most important thing will that the plug is wired correctly into the circuit
