HI Fisty,..... I'm thinking of using about that size or eqvalent,...thanks much!! It's actually fun doing this conversion (THERPAY) :d !! I'm pretty pumped about doing it!!!!! OK, the pulley is nice and clost to the covers and I might be able to just move the radiator out only 1/2inch but will see when I get there  !! I would like to put the fan on the inside if I could! Thanks much on the Fan size!!! :YMHUG: Later, Bob

Today I finished putting the timing belt covers and Don P's. pulley!! I got it as close to the covers as possible. I did find out you have to put on the right cover first B-( !!! But overal has been easy so far!! \:d/ I did add a few pic's as to where I'm at in the conversion :d !! Enjoy Bob

Hello All, been busy doing the conversion. Update as follows;... the alt. bracket was redone to bring it closer to the support. I got everything mounted and used a pipe-hanger to adjust the tension. The belt I used was 29.5" long with a 3.5 Don's P. 3.5 pulley and a 2" pulley on the alt. Now I made up a #8 wire and a 50amp reset fuse. I also used some containers to encase the 50amp fuse and one for the rectifier plug ( used dilectric grease on the plug ) and one to cover the alt. bolt! :d The fan I used was a 7" and mounted it in the front. I had another one but basically destroyed it trying to modifiy it to fit behind the rediator. So she's basically it's all together, tomorrow I will add the coolant and test her B-( !!! I've added some pic's. Enjoy :YMCOWBOY: Bob

Update,..... :d Due to inadequate cooling with a 7" fan, I changed to a 10" S-Blade fan. This took up the whole front but provided better circlulation. And just for the record Vic, there's No room for 2-7" fans. I also changed out the Alt. pulley from a 2.2" to a 1.75" making the Ratio a 2 to 1 using a 3.5" crank-pulley. Here's the old 7" fan! And the New 10'' S-Blade Fan!!Enjoy, :YMCOWBOY: Bob

Did a Test on the Alt. and she puts out 14-14.50 at idle :d with everything on, even the 10" fan :YMPEACE: !!! Vic there would be NO room with 2-7" fans, I don't believe they will cool that well. But this S-Blade fan puts out adequately \

Thank You,....Fixed the Stinkin mirror :YMTONGUE: and then went fot a nice 25 mile ride. Started out the meter read about 14.3, so I turned everything on and she settled down to 13.8 -14.0. Mostly stayed around 13.9, this was speeds from 45mph to 55mph. I also did a WOT and the responce was great to hear those secondaries open (32-36 Holly/Weber :d ) and see if the belts would stay on the pullies  !! I think since this conversion that she even runs cooler! Ok, Time for a little ride!!! Later Dudes, :YMCOWBOY: Bob
