Common causes for poor fuel economy

A friend with an 1800 claims he gets a steady 56 MPG at highway cruise. With computerized fuel injection and all that torque it's believable but city fuel economy would be lousy with a guy that likes to accelerate.

jacko Wrote:hey guys and gals, just go to sparkplugs.com, i find plugs there, name brand, and for a lot less money Amazon is even cheaper, I just saw they have a 4pak for $28. After just having changed plugs I don't want to do it every 4K miles so these will be my next (last?) change. I suppose after I have to change the oil I'll be coughing up $50 for a spin-on adapter.... |

Don't forget to check your local auto parts store. I just picked up 4 NGK Iridium plugs for my 1200 at our local O'Reilly Auto Parts. Price was $6.99 each. Same price as best price I see on Amazon and almost a buck apiece cheaper than sparkplugs.com.
