Thank you sir.
I added the rotor covers, rear bag chrome lowers and 2 sets of string LED's lights on the rear. One set for running lights and one set for brake lights.
Put a set of wind wings and a new set of hand grips.
I think that is just about as much chrome that I can stand on this bike.
Changed out the timing belts and did a full servce on her again.

Bike has just over 40,000 on the clock and has never been droped. All plastic's and tabs are in very good shape...no fading. Think I will replace a couple of emblems though. They are starting to look a little rough.

A shot of the rear with the LED's. Also added 2 extra bulbs to the upper light bar.
Both servce and brake lights (LED's) are on. This a shot with the sun right behind me. At night it blur's out the camrea.

Cool L.E.D's... You said in a previous post that you were anal about keeping your bike clean. Upon further inspection of the rear photo, I noticed that there is a shop towel stuck to your license plate and a maple leaf sticking out of the right tail pipe.....

Reminds me of many (many) years ago (1962-1964 to be exact) when I used to live in Hoboken, NJ there was what then looked to me like an aging couple named Blackie and Gertrude who argued all the time ... on the street, yet. Sometimes on a Saturday night, they'd get drunk at the Washington Street Tavern near Todd's ship yard, and their noisy fighting would spill onto the street. But no one, not even the cops dared break it up, because if someone tried to butt in then both Blackie and Gertrude would turn on them!

Gradually, I got to know Blackie and once collected enough nerve to ask why he argues with Gertrude all the time. Blackie explained, they can never agree on anything ... so they argue. Then after awhile, the arguing continued and I asked Blackie, why he stayed married to Gertrude if they can never agree on anything. Then he said, Oh they've been divorced three times already ... but each time they get back together. Why is that? With misty eyes, Blackie said, there's no sweeter or kinder soul that he has ever known, and no Hoboken woman is more beautiful or sexier than Gertrude.

Somehow, your SEI saga reminded me of Blackie and Gertrude. Great bike!

Seems like I have a couple of saga's going these days.
I sold a 90 KX500 dirt bike to a friend after rebuilding it from the ground up. Thing looked like it rolled right out of the dealship. He rode it about 4 times and then blew the top end up.
Bike sat in his garge foe about 3 years . The other day he asked me if I wanted it back for some work on his bike. Well needless to say the KX is back and the cylinder is out getting plated and new piston I'll be out in the dirt again.
Think I'll keep both for awhile.....there are just some bikes that get under your skin.

Thanks Kurt. The Honda ST1300 is one sweet ride. Hope to keep it as long as I had my ST1100 (10 years). Still miss my LTD though. Still looking into another classic "wing". A '76 and a '80 popped up last week locally. I'll look into them next week....

The KX500 is a total animal ! A friend of mine had one back in the 90's.

I had a ST1100, loved that bike. Rode it into the ground.

I was raised on a KX500 Ice racing.....loads of fun.
Then I came out west for the dirt.
