AE/AF/AG/AH and DE/DG

What do these different letters denote ? I'm having an argument with a supplier over a brake master cylinder kit. I've bought one for a DE or DG but my bikes an 85/86 Interstate and they wont fit. Why is everything so ******** complicated ? :lol:

although i have seen such mention before i have no idea what they relate to,i would think that they probably refer to different models,such as a european version,us and a japan version

maybe a dealer with some older employees in the parts dept may be able to help

AE=built in Ohio for U.K. AF=built in Ohio for France AG=built in Ohio for Germany AH= ...not sure, maybe Holland I guess? DE=I'm guessing here, LTD built for Europe, DG=guessing again, LTD built for Germany
