Trying to install an aftermarket Amp.

when I install the amp the speakers just pop. When I remove the imputs from the radio and put imputs from my I pod works great. reinstall imputs from radio speakers start cutting out again.

I would check polarity on speaker wires first then if thats not it i would guess
It may be to much power (ohms) for speakers, bad connections, input output wrong.
coud be any number of things. sorry not much help but those are a couple of things

not sure where your output for the new amp is going but the input would have to be from a higher impedance source, what radio are you trying to use

I have a Panasonic Type III Radio. I'm going from the output of the GL1200 amp speaker wires to RCA jacks to go into the aftermarket AMP, then going to the speakers.

i'm definitely not an audio guru but it sounds like what you are doing is trying to use the speaker output to drive the amp and then power the speakers,i would think that your input would have to come from the input wires to the power amp and the output to the speakers

i would think that you'd have to take the stock power amp out of the system to work correctly,
maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in soon
