Timing belt tension wheel squeal
Greetings,
I replaced my timing belts last year and ever since there's a squeal coming from one of the tension wheels around 2000-3000 rpm only when the engine is hot. I've adjusted the wheel a couple times but still squeals. 85,000 miles on bike.

Recommendations?

Lastly, just curious, what happens if heaven forbid the tension wheel gives out and/or the timing belt breaks while going 70 mph? Does the rear tire lock up?

Thank you for any advice...

sure sounds like you need to replace that tensioner before it gives out completely,
whatever happens when it breaks wont be pretty

any honda dealer or online one can get it

part # is 14510-mg9-008 from western honda its $68,no sense getting used ones off ebay because you might end up with something that's just as bad

there are others but your local dealer may be just as fast, may even be a source online near you

Or stop by a recycler and get a used one for $5.00.
