Can't remove radio
Did my mod for the Ipod and put the radio back into the housing. Everything went nicely, didn't have to force it in just slid in nice and smooth. Now I can't get it out. Had my son turn the key and with two hands on the radio I pulled so hard that the bike was rocking on the center stand and the radio would not come out. Anyone experience this problem or have an idea as to what to do.

only thing i can suggest is to pull the speakers grilles, speakers and the cover above the instrument panel like you were removing the clock and get in there and try to unlatch that way

To remove the cover above the instrument panel don't you have to remove the radio first. Correct me if I'm wrong or you talking about something else?

@Bufallowing didn't seem to make a different sound, not that I can remember.

Going through the right speaker doesn’t work, two separate compartments. Thanks anyways

Originalowner,
You can get the radio unlatched by inserting a 1/8" diameter rod under the radio. You will have to drill a small hole through the bottom of the rubber seal that fits around the front of the radio and against the 'dash'. Having done that take the rod and flatten the tip as much as possible for about 1/2". Grind the tip sharp. With another rod ,same diameter and sharpened on the tip, inserted in the hole you can prize the plastic down from the bottom of the radio enough to insert the flattened rod. Do this from the middle of the radio as close as possible. The hooks that hold the radio are part of a flat metal piece that runs under the radio. This piece is 3.25" back from the place where you drilled the hole.
The key on the clock simply puts pressure on the flat piece, moving it down a little; enough to lower the hooks out of the bottom of the radio. The radio bottom is metal and there is nothing to damage by inserting the rod. After inserting the flattened rod the required 3.25-3.50" just turn the rod to bring the flatened end up against the radio and down against the flat piece. It will move the piece down enough to pull the radio out. If it doesn't work you may have to get the flatened part wider by hammering it more or welding a small flat on it.
It does work because I just removed my radio using the rods. I didn't have any problem with my radio not coming out by key but I thought it would be good to work out some way to do it case the latch quit. .
Good luck, Bob

The rods did the trick!! Thank you robdavspa. I didn't turn the rod, I just pushed the rod in a little extra, a slight tug on the radio and out it came. Thanks again
