Remanufactured starter for 1984 GL.

I see a 1984 remanufactured starter being offered on E-Bay from Uxbridge Power Sports in MA. This starter is stated to be a product of Ricks Motor Sports. Do any of you know if this is legit?
Thanks, Robert |

I do not know but I would preceed with caution.
You know your starter can be rebuilt for a fraction of the remanufactured version. Search this site and/or post your question for valuable information and guidance on rebuilding it yourself. I am in a similar boat. Starter motor turns slowly when hot, battery is known good, charged and healthy. My case is probably just carbon dust from the brushes causing high resistance when hot given 26 years of use. When my starter is slow at spinning (when the engine is hot) I open the throttle, push the starter button and so far (knock on wood) she fires to life. -Ride On
enjoying the view from the saddle....... due mainly to the people and information found within this site
