Hello Al,
First thing I would change out, if you haven't already, is the fuel filter. It's about $32.00 but well worth the change. The petcocks on these bikes are not like a regular petcock...they're more or less a on-switch for the fuel supply. Another overlooked area is the inlet connection to the fuel pump...or is is outlet?? Anyway, the hose connection on the left side of the fuel pump as you look at it. In there is a one inch or so, cone filter that can become clogged up. Just take it out and clean it out. This filter is often overlooked because, I don't think it shows up on micro-fiches anywhere. When someone mentioned this to me from this site, I found mine was half filled. You will find these couple of things should make a dramatic improvement. I know it did on mine. Keep us posted...any information shared by owners of these fuelies is very much appreciated and helpful to the next guy. |

Thanks Rick, I just pulled the strainer on mine and found it about 1/4 plugged, haven't started it yet , still the fake tank off. According to my led's on self diagnostics, I need to check my throttle sensor and the pressure sensors, but that requires using an inspection adaptor ? so looks Like I gotta take it to Honda.
I see you're from Ajax , I emigrated to Vancouver Island 30 yrs ago from Oshawa, used to work at the Nuke plant in Pickering. Cheers Bob |

I am unfamiliar with the EFI models but there should be a test for measuring the output/psi of the fuel pump.
Donât disregard the possibility of a vacuum leak. Good Luck.
enjoying the view from the saddle....... due mainly to the people and information found within this site
