Changing exaust ends
Late last fall, I was turning around in the garage, and backed into one of the metal poles supporting the floor. I smashed the end of one of the exhaust ends.
I looked around on ebay, and found a set with good chrome, price, etc.
When I got the pipes, the exhaust system had been split where I have the yellow circle in the pic of my bike.
My question is, how do I seperate the exhaust here? I find screws holding the ends on, but I find nothing to split the exhaust.
Can one of the veteran riders help me out here?
Thanks so much for your help.[attachment=0]

That is part of the muffler which is one piece. The only fix is to weld the split or get another muffler.

I've attached another photo.
This isn't a photo of what I bought, but is very similar.
On the parts I bought, there has been no weld cut, which is why
I'm asking here how to seperate this from the muffler.
There is also no screws like there is at the tips.
Thanks again for you help.[attachment=0]

Looks like you have an aftermarket exhaust system. Look for some names on the components and find out who built the exhaust system and ask the builder your question.
