As changing the gear oil can be a bit messy, I was pondering a better way. I think I've found it...I asked our vet if he had a large syringe I could have and he promptly sold me a 60cc version with a long tip. Should work and only cost me $2.50 Cdn.

Great tip Ian! I had a heck of a time when I changed my fluid, but I know what I will be using when I do it again.
Maybe next time you have a tip to share you will have to post it in one of the tech areas so that the topic doesn't get stepped on or otherwise hijacked. |

If you want to take this a step farther, take the tubing from an oxygen mask and put it on the end of the syringe and use the other end on the nipple for your brake bleed screw. Voila! Poor man's brake bleeder.
