Oil change - filter which one and where?

Should I get a stock filter, or is there a better choice? Are these filters readily available at car parts store?

I use a Fram CH 6009 from the local autoparts store in my 84 GL1200A. I think it was less than $4.00.

I pay the extra and use the Honda filter. Its about $10 here.
