Clutch Problem
Ok now after sitting about a week I go out, start up my 85 Aspy, go to put it in gear and the clutch lever has nothing. No pressure, nothing. I took the master cylinder cover off and checked the fluid, it was a tad low, filled it and replaced the cover. There is still nothing when I pull in the clutch lever. Any ideas out there before I pull everything apart?

Blessings,
TW

Hi, TW,
I am new to this sight and am a new goldwinger. The bike I have was set up for 3 years and had the same problem. I pulled the clutch slave cylinder off and it was completely stopped up with crud. I rebuild the slave cylinder and the master cylinder and the clutch is working fine now. Hope this helps.

Just a quick update on the clutch problem. I bled the master cylinder banjo nut as described in the other thread and it was all it needed. After 4 slow squeezes I retightened the banjo nut while holding the lever in, replaced what fluid it needed and now the lever has a much better feel to it.
As always the help I've gotten here is the best.
