Determining plenumen size!!! Ok Let's Try This!!!!
For those of you who have made your own plenumn/manifold, how and what determined the runner size and main plenumn size? Thanks 8) Bob OR When any of you guys made your own manifold, where did you get the ideas for the size that you used Confusedhock: Anyway Thanks 8) Bob

Seems to me that some used a scientific approach using a vacumm cleaner and smoke to define flow and velocity and others used the aesthetic approach in that it had to look good when finished and others yet used the simple to build approach where PVC plastic fittings were used for the build process. It seems that a smaller plenum delivered the biggest performance gain and smaller runners tended to give the best low end power delivery but all this is just from my memory. Hopefully the original builders will be along shortly to fill in the blanks.
