locked up motor, 78 goldwing
Aint been with you guys long, but heres one for you, bike locked up going down the road, got it home took off the timeing belt covers off, belts good, peice fell out while takeing the covers off, block broke right around the crankshaft, it gave no warning just bang and that was it, the only noise i ever heard was what sounded like a louse primary chain when at low idel, any one got any ideas

After looking closer at it, looks like maybe the crank broke, the timeing belt sprocket has moved forward about 1/16 th of an inch, cant beleve it, glade i was not going down the hyway when it locked up, at about 40 mph I allmost lost control of it, gona tear down the motor to find the cause, got another one I am puting together an 81 1100, dont want this to happen again

Hard to tell without seeing but it almost sounds like you spun a bearing on the crank.
