Vibration noise

Ok, I found out where the noise is coming from I heard in my previous post. It's coming from the front part of the engine, under the fairing. Only when I first start out. It doesn't seem to do it whein I'm in neutral, just when I start out on my way.

These noises can be hard to find. What was making the noise? You said something under the fairing which wassssss? I had a rattle comming from the right side of the engine for probably two years and could not find it, even had the dealer look into it with no luck. Finally one day I was cleaning the bike and found the chrome cover for the sparkplugs on the right side was rubbing a acorn nut under it, with a little (adjustment) no more rattle. Good luck finding yours.

Sorry about that. It sounds more like a grinding than a rattle. It only does it when I first start out riding, that's it. Not at an idle or going down the road. Just when you first take off and only for a second or two.
Also as you hear the vibration you can also feel it in the front end. It's hard to give an exact location while sitting on the Aspy and trying to lean over, listen, feel and not tip the thing over and feel like total shmuck. I've had a few bikes in the past, but never a wing. I've never heard this before and was just looking for suggestions or ideas. |
