http://www.sierra-mc.com/ 2080 EXPERIMENT FARM RD TROY, OH 45373 You can also check to see if it is the belt your self and I think they are available.... but where?
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

The belt is not difficult to change yourself if you're good with your hands and the belts are available at stereo shops.

loubee1,
This is an old thread, but I thought I'd put this info on here anyway, just in case someone else is looking for a belt for their cassette player. I got mine online from here: http://www.studiosoundelectronics.com This store stocks repair parts and kits for tons of old electronics including VCRs and cassette decks. Great site, great service. I received my new drive belt from them in two days. The part number for the belt that fits our cassette deck is SBS12.4 (Small Belt Square - 12.4 inches x 0.46 inches). It only costs $1.15.

Mine did that with an adaptor. It keeps switching from forward to reverse. The sensor is screwed up and I'm looking into fixing it. I'm kind of handy with some things like that. Let you know how it goes. Heres an update. In the very front of the deck is a small arm that sticks up on an angle. I used a small o-ring removal tool and bent it up just a tad and the tape deck has been working fine ever since. 8)
