You can download a service manual to your computer free at this link. It is not easy finding the info because manual is backwards in some cases (last chapter first/1st chapter last)

I found this 450 page clymer repair manual online, free download.
Very user friendly PDF file, fully indexed.
Also several other free manuals on this site.

Sorry i did not check your link, I just stumbled on that page the other night and down loaded the files. I was so impressed with how nice it was that I wanted to make sure everyone knew about it.

I downloaded the 85 electrical repair manual several months ago but there were some pages missing, my very good friend Don roscoepc sent me the missing pages and I shall import them and clean up the pdf file.
It could take several weeks, it being the riding season
When finished I shall upload it to the site.......

I think you are referring to the Goldwing GL1200 A and D Service Manual-AB9FB, there is an electrical troubleshooting method in the electrical section.

If so, yes I do. I can't remove a section, the file is over 64MB and won't email. I have split the pdf into 11 files and a assembly exe file to reunite the parts (G-Split utility) all
emailable.

I'm not sure if it covers the 86 1200. Send me an email if you would like the files
