How long have your owned your 1200?
Had mine 2 years and am the 3rd owner.

My first bike was a '79 GL1000. (Naked with a windshield and a king/queen seat)

That's me at 20. I love the Wings. I almost went with a Yamaha Venture, before I found my 1200. 25 years later, I just couldn't get away from my Honda loyalty.

I bought mine about two months ago and love it. My last motor was a Suzuki 750 watercooled in about 1974. A skydiving buddy passed me on his Goldwing like I was tied to a stump and I wanted one since. I love these Wings. I have retired friends who almost all have Harleys, but they concede to my comfort level. When they rev-up their engines I rev-up my radio.

ED, I am also a Combat veteren from the VietNam war. I was with the Big Red One (Search and destroy missions) '65-'66. I am so proud of how the boys are treated today as they come home compaired to how we were treated when we came home from VietNam back then.

You are welcome, 85GL. I'd do it again. After 9/11 I wanted to enlist but they didn't take 50+ old warriors then and they sure won't take a 57 yr old now. Seniorwing, I'm glad you made it back, brother. Keep the rubber side down and cruise long and happily.

I have had my GL 1200I for almost 4 months. My first, GL1100 was and '80 with vetter fairing, trunk and bags. I really enjoyed it. I had to get rid of it and stop riding for about 10 years while my three kids were small. it was too much temptation to ride and spend time away from them. Now my oldest is 21 and my son, Jr. is 17. I'm finally free to ride at my whim. I had always dreamed of riding my old wing, but the Gl1200I is more fun than I could have dreamed. I'll be a wing man for life.

Confusedhock: Confusedhock: I can't believe the low mileage some of you guys have on your scoots !! Confusedhock: Confusedhock:

I am the 3rd owner. Tought I was the fourth but i am not. The first guy bought it new and kept it 10 years. The guy I bought it from rode it for 13 years, then sold it to me last week. Today was the first day riding it. (see ignorant comments posted)

QAnyways, the bike has 133,000 K on it which is about 79,000 miles I think.
That kid did what?
