Why would you want to replace the most important part of the bike with a product that is not called for?
Is it free? Is it used? When I am leaning that beast into a corner fully loaded I want to know that the only parts touching the road surface are the correct ones. Keep the rubber side down
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

Be careful when choosing whitewall tires for a Gold Wing. Most white walls are made for cruiser bikes and they may not have the same weight carrying capacity as a touring bike tire.
