The dreaded pulse generators..... any retrofit ideals

Any one have an ideal how to retrofit something to fix a bad pulse generator since there are none anywhere to be found.
I have a 85 1200 and one is bad, I have ordered some stuff to try, but looking for anyone that may have solve this already. Thanks

Hi, I'm running into the same problem. Did you find a way to solve this yet?

I've heard you can retrofit PG's from the 1500's but I think it requires some type of modifications to mount them and also splice them into the existing wire harness.
