Front brake problem

I took off all calipers, cleaned them thoroughly, installed new kits, pads, and fluid. Put about 500 miles, no problems. I was riding down the road, stopped at a light, and the front brake lever was completely stuck closed, hard as a rock, and I couldn't squeeze it at all. I pull over and sure enough the pads are locked against the rotor. I get out a wrench and let a little brake fluid out of the caliper. Handle now works good as new, and no more problems. What gives?

Did you thoroughly clean the master cylinder after you drained the fluid?
I use cotton swabs to make sure there is nothing left in there. Possibly some dirt prevented the fluid return.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

I'll keep an eye on it, but so far so good!

Just for grins you may want to flush that brake line with fresh brake fluid in order to flush out what may be floating in there which caused the brake to not release.
Just a suggestion. -Ride On

I did flush out the fluid in there, or at least I think I did. To the best of my knowledge, the old fluid was flushed, however, there's a chance there might have been some old fluid still in there.
