if you used don;s kit its most likely a 23-030310,if you made your own conversion just take a string and loop it around the pulleys and measure, take that to a auto parts store and request a 3-rib serp belt that length

I found the 3 Rib belts are in 1" increment sizes and the 4 Rib belt 1/2" increment sizes. If using a 3 rib and find one size is too long and the next too short try the 4 rib an cut one rib off

The belt I used when using the (I think 3") pulley was NAPA 040315

I found that the 310 belt was just a little too tight for my liking thats why I used the 315 it was half an inch longer. No doubt the 310 belt will work in his case, I was just giving an alternative

I got a chance to look at my belt while in the yard today and its not a v-belt. seems like two v-belts would almost fit on the pulley

recheck that you have a 12v source to your alternator to excite it

It should start to charge at 1000 rpms. My first install, I missed one wire, and it wasn't charging. Rechecked and found one loose, redid it and it's been going these last few years. Check the wires, thoroughly! The fuse also could be bad. I used one of the marine ones that was recommended. After a few months it kept tripping. I bought another and it's been going ever since!
