Im switching out to evans and somewhere I read in a thread about filling from the bottom up using a pump up hand sprayer. Anyone who has done this Id like to know the specifics. I looked at the drain hole and Im not sure sticking the end of the spray tube in it will keep it from just leaking back out. Thanks in advance

I used it for a while, didnt find it was of any great advantage except for thinning the wallet.
Under normal circumstances not sure it is needed. If you were going to add it through the drain hole.... don't know why.... I would make an adapter with a valve. To do it correctly use their prep fluid, this will purge any water from the system prior to install. Also Helps to thin the wallet.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

I've been using Evan's for about four years now. And yes, I used the prep fluid to remove all remaining water. I've only ever added coolant from the radiator cap.

On one of the post concerning evans the writer made mention of being concerned with the overflow tank being a source of outside air being introduced into the coolant. Any thoughts on this?

I've never read anything about air from the overflow tank. Although I did add Evans to the overflow tank to the low coolant mark. So it shouldn't let air into the system.

Air can still be introduced into the system if the hose from the radiator neck to the reserve tank is defective, or if it is not sealing properly at the radiator neck and/or reserve tank.
That grommet at the reserve tank is getting rather long in the tooth.
enjoying the view from the saddle....... due mainly to the people and information found within this site
