Pulse Fuel Pumps (Vacuum Fuel Pumps)
Has anyone here, or do you know of someone who, replaced their electric fuel pump with a pulse fuel pump?
What was the outcome? (good and bad)
The reason for the question is I ran across an application of a Mikuni pulse pump on a Japanese v-twin (originally equipped with an electric pump) and the owner seemed very happy with its performance and price.
Pluses:
Equivilant performance,
Name brand,
Low cost,
Rebuildable

Minuses:
NOT a bolt and go,
Location on bike is a consideration,
Proper vacuum hose length/diameter

There is a give and take here, but I was just looking for a second source for the fuel pump.

All comments are welcomed. Smile
