Went to fill her up and the key will only turn to the right 90 degrees and won't unlock. Any help with how to get in there to fix it would be great. Thanks This is a "Standard" GL

Maybe if you remove the shelter completely you will be able to see if there is anything preventing the lock from turning.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

Tricky is correct, I think you can remove that without unlocking the hatch door. You might try shooting some WD40 or graphite (do they still sell that stuff?) in there, the lock is probably just stuck

a good hardware store should carry graphite for the long term fix, WD-40 or any other lubricant of that type is a good short term.
Make sure the plastic tumbler cover is either completely intact or completely removed or this may cause key/lock problems. I have had to fish 'parts' of plastic out of the key holes of several of my lock because the plastic became brittle and broke. Good Luck!

Hey thanks guys, So I was able to get the shelter off with the seat still on " Barely " .
I found the little metal pin that retracts the latch when the key is turned, broken off . I guess I will need a new lock assembly. I might just fabricate some kind of cable release with a discreet knob and leave the old lock in there as a decoy.

Thanks for the input everyone. After a little bit of contemplation and then some drilling and fabricating my lock is now reprogrammed. It is no longer a 1/4 turn to open but instead the key acts as a lever to pull the plunger back. Works great and looks normal however any key will most likely work.

In this case it was "too cheap to fork over $40 for a new lock" is the fuel for invention.
