Stereo Upgrade - Replacement
Will since the stereo tuner died on me I am now replacing the stereo. I have been waiting on some parts to come in for the project and they should be here tomorrow. Remember I said I put 48 watt speakers in for the speaker system well I tested the stereo and they are not going to work I ordered 200 watt each speakers for that stereo. Also ordered the Sierra Radio Bezel for it the one I made just didn't look right. The trike and I got into a argument while removing the old slide mount hardware and I failed to get pictures of that process but here are a few pics I took while I was rewiring it and of that dang mount that gave me a hard time.

Enjoyed these pictures and seeing someone not afraid to roll up their sleeves and dig in,been there. The LTD or SEi will run stripped like this for testing with the Faux tank unplugged and laying on the floor. Its a challenge but I love this Bike, had mine stripped 4 times this last summer, each time for a different reason.BTW mines Triked too Towpak Instatrike, its been an excellent trike addition, lots of miles on it now and not a single glitch. Good luck, pass on your knowledge, I'll be taking notes in case I ever upgrade, but my old stock sound system is still working well, even the onboard intercom, the wife likes that feature to give directions LOL Rolleyes

Got it installed here's a few pictures of the process. Used Polyester batting in the dash and on the trunk where the speakers are mounted to reduce vibration and help bring out the base and mid-range of the speakers. It worked great especially in the front speakers. Also got the GPS installed today as well.

Nice Job !! Fabricating is an art form and takes ingenuity. Thanks again for taking the time to post the photos. Your GPS Navigator, thats a good spot..mines at the bottom of the right speaker cover close to the power outlet but I may change to where yours is..more central for eyes on the road. I just added a rear fender mud flap plus 4 rectangle reflectors on it...very visible in headlights of following vehicles...keeps the rocks off the trailer when we're towing as well. Cool
