I went ahead and welded new sections onto the header pipes that were in such bad shape. After putting it all back together with new gaskets, we had just a few minor leaks that were easy to stop. It is amazing what stopping all these leaks did to making the bike run better, let alone how it sounds. My daughter and boyfriend are tickled pink at the difference.
