I got tired of gas stations constantly draining my wallet. Even my GL1200 takes a big gas chunk out of each $20. bill in my wallet so my wife made a suggestion, why not try an e-bike to save money. We did get 2 e-bikes and soon discovered that we can ride up to 60 kilometers for about 25 cents in electricity. Quiet, fun, reliable, but, not quite as fast or fun as a GL1200, but, for short trips in town these things can pay for themselves fairly quickly, plus, I just smile a great big smile when I pass a gas station.
