Picture of Aux Lighting Mounts
Now that I have the Poorboy kit on my 1984 Interstate I am looking to add some Auxillary lighting to the front.

I have been looking at the Showchrome 52-104X mount and then choosing the lights I want for that bar.

If you could please post some pics of any auxillary lighting mounts you have I would appreciate it.

If you know what mount you are using that would help as well.
I am mostly looking for good driving lights without breaking the bank so let me know what you have found works well would be great

Thanks in Advance.

I have a universal set of Kuryakyn halogen driving lamps. Think I paid $99 at Americade a couple years ago. Here's a couple photos, one with lamps on and one with lamps off. Found the light bar for you at Chrome World.

Thanks guys. Both of those are the Show Chrome 52-104x.

Looks like it mounts to the upper mounting point for the lowers, just above the Radiator?

How much room does it give you width wise for a light mounted at the mount point to the Fairing.

I do like those silver bullets, my fear however is they won't be bright enough for the early mornings or late evenings up here in the Pacific Northwet. I will have a 60 mile one way commute along an area with not much light or civilization most times.

when i had a set of Hella 550's mounted had about 1/2" clearance, but i took them off to mount Hella 450 foglights

personally the driving lights are not as good as the HID headlights i have installed, have HID's ready for the foglights too but haven't installed yet

but if your running a stock headlight driving lights are a definite improvement over a standard H4 bulb

I replaced the standard headlamp with Sylvania SilverStar and it's a very bright white light. You could go brighter with the "zXe" or ULTRA version.

Did you replace the bulb with a Silver Star?

I like the results of HID as a headlight.

But also thinking a bright modulated headlight and Aux lighting(possibly with HID bulbs there) may provide better visibility.
Just surveying the options now, may also add a lower set of LED's like the cornering light option on an SE or 1500 for cager awareness.

Gonna start another thread to hear opinions.

i'd rather have HID over modulated headlights, numerous people have commented that they(HID) definitely are more noticeable over a standard headlight when approaching them

Yes, I replaced the headlamp bulb with a SilverStar bulb. Local auto parts store had it in stock. The part number is a 9003/HB2.
