over heating
Wing_man, often a bad water pump will leak oil or coolant through the weep hole. It's a small hole just behind where the lower radiator hose connects, located right on the bottom of the engine.

riding below 35-40 tends to promote overheating depending on ambient air temps but if you have replaced the thermo, fan works correctly etc could also be a sign that your radiator is possibly clogged

its also possible that the temp sensor isn't correct also

You can test what the exact temperature is with this creature on sale at Harbour Freight http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-tools ... 93984.html
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

Fluid out the weep hole can also be an indication.
Overheating can be all the usual suspects, old/low coolant level, old coolant hoses, defective thermostat, defective fan switch, defective water pump, defective water jacket gaskets.

Good Luck.
enjoying the view from the saddle....... due mainly to the people and information found within this site
