Tire Mileage

I have been reading some of the tire posts and I am getting nowhere nere the mileage you guys are getting. I've had my 87 interstate 3 years and it is in for it's third set of tires.I would say I am getting 3000 to 4000 mi. especially on the rear.First sets were Dunlop(I think D3's but as I said its in the shop so I can't check) I don't ride hard at all and check inflation 40psi rear and 35psi front.I am trying Bridgestone just to see if I do any better. I been haveing a shop remove and install these and labor time is killing me. Any tips or Information would be greatly appreciated. And by the way this is my first post I have been lurking around for some time. Lots of great info here

Welcome to the Site!!
I've only had my Dunlop E-3's on for about 2000 miles or so and it doesn't look like there's hardly any wear so far! I run 40psi in the front and the rear as that seem's to be what the bike likes as far as how it handles. One thing I like about the E-3's is how deep the tread is cut in the tire. Work's good so far!

I will have to give the E -3's a try next time which if past history continues shoukld be about 3 or 4 months. I think I am going to have to get set up to remove my own tires and at least save labor cost
