All parts need to rebuild rear shocks.

I have not decided yet if I am going to rebuild mine, or just replace. But just in case I do rebuild mine, can someone give me a complete list of all parts I will need to buy, and where I can get them? Or if it comes in a kit, do all parts needed come in it, or are there some other parts I need. If its a kit, does it do both rear shocks, or just one. I also need one rubber boot for the back.

I know I saw a post a while back which had alternative boots and what fit. Not sure whether it was here or on the GL1200 forum. It's worth a search!

Do "Progressive" sell rebuild parts for their shocks. I was on ebay and have just bought a used pair for £6.50 (under$10) described as "need a service", I thought at that price its worth a gamble, but don't see any parts listed on the progressive website.
Edit would this be the correct part to do a rebuild? <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://secure.billydump.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=203">http://secure.billydump.com/store/index ... ductId=203</a><!-- m -->
Cheers...Charlie
The lady walking ahead of me sped up so I did too, she began running so I ran too, she screamed so I screamed as well. I never even saw what we were running from. |
