Gone, but not forgotten...
Howdy, folks! Been a while since I have been able to post here. In February, I had a wreck with my beloved "Old Wing" 1987 GL1200A. I had a cager turn left in front of me and as I tried to miss the car, I clipped the rear bumper with the right engine guard. Damaged the head, timing sprocket, timing covers, valve cover, bodywork, engine guard, etc. Her insurance said it was a total loss, and sadly they paid me out for it. I had it for 1-1/2 years and put 15,000 miles on it.

The replacement turned out to be a 1989 GL1500 in Martini Beige Metallic with 105,000 miles. She runs like she should, and will take the "Old Wing"'s role as our motorcycle, but will never take the place of our first Wing.

Now, on to the question. Now that I no longer own a GL1200, do I have to leave the camraderie of this board? I sure hope not, but will understand if so. I cut me teeth on the old girl to say, and learned a lot from the fine folks here. It's not like I have had a lot of input here, mostly just sit back and read, but will give my .02 as I see fit. BUT, I do enjoy learning and asking questions.

Thanks again for each person here, and the space to have such an arrangement. Hope I can stick around and learn more.

Absolutely not noeleo, you are welcome here as a member wether you own a 1200 or any other Gold Wing and you would even be welcomed here if all you owned was a Harley (no offence intended.) It's the people and their motorcycle experience that we are interested in here first as, members, not the motorcycles primarily but knowing a GL1200 helps to keep pace with the conversations.
