Markland Engine Covers

I have this set of engine covers - painted the two tone Premium Beige Metallic. They have some light surface scratches but nothing too bad. The white blemishes on the left cover in the photo below are light reflections. If someone would like better photos, I'd be happy to supply hi-res close-ups.
Brackets are included. One seems to have lost the grommet and the previous owner "fixed" it by adding wood and bailing wire. (Seriously). It worked and was covered, but might be improved upon... :- They're nice, but not my style. I like the motor to be visible on my motorcycles... $130 shipped, OBO (Continental US only).

Thanks UJ. They're pretty nice, just not my cup o' tea.
Hope you enjoy them!

Hopefully they will redirect some of the excess engine heat away from my legs.
I like my mesh jacket so much that I purchased the matching pants, only to have my lower legs roasted alive. I normally always wear my chaps to protect me from the engine heat down there (among other things).

That's part of the reason I'm not running them. In Phoenix, that extra bottled heat adds up.
...that and I just prefer a more open look. Hey, gimme a break...I've been riding naked bikes so long, I have to ease into the dress thing!

I got the covers today. Thanks they look great.
However I hope you have the front brackets too, the ones that fit under the spark plug cover? I did not see them in the box! :-\

Sorry UJ, they didn't come on my bike. I actually didn't know they were needed. Those covers were off my bike as soon as I got it home after purchase. The motor was still hot as I recall...
I am truly sorry. Kinda looks like they might not be too hard to fab up... can I help?

Upon closer inspection it seems that the brackets for these covers must attach higher up like half way up the spark plug wires behind the black plastic lower inner fairing.
Anyone have a picture of something like this for the Markland cover? I am sure I can create something, but a picture would help. The covers look fantastic on the bike though.

One of my brackets are missing , but does not seem to matter too much. The forward end tucks in behind fairing & lower section, then the screw locks rear in place. If you do find a good way to fab or find replacement , let me know and I'll add my missing one to mine too.

Do those covers have a clip molded into the back of the cover? I can take a couple of pictures of the ones I have. I am presuming your bike is an Aspy or Interstate?
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.
