Are the RM1100 and RM1200 essentially the same

Hi,
I have an 85LTD My second RM1200 which arrived form the US just yesterday is now behaving flaky - whilst it will always produce output to the HS ie intercom side it sometimes sends output to the amplifier and at other times nothing seems to be going to the amplifier. When you switch it on anything could happen. Will the RM1100 model work on a LTD? The 1200 supplement seems to indicate that the differences are very very minor. The RM1100 is more abundant in the UK (the LTD was never sold over here) whereas the Interstate and Aspy were. |

have all versions of the radio and all seem about the same with the exception that the buttons on the 12 and 13 are better than the 11

I have been reading all these posts here & there about the RM1100 & 1200. I thought our radios on the 1200's were Panisonic TypeIII's. :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
