Cigarette lighter location??
I just picked up a lighter to put on my wing for a power source, for the GPS.
Did these bikes come with one?
If so where is the correct location for it?
Want to keep it looking as close to original as I can.

I don't know what model 'Wing you have, BearOnt, but with an '84 Aspencade such as mine, there is a plug on the top right hand side of the fairing, just above the locking pocket cover which seems ideal for installing a lighter.

Mine is an 84 Interstate.
I saw the plug there also. I wanted to check if that is where it goes or not.
Thanks guys! Big Grin

Bear,
you can put it just about any where you want to. I have seen them on the right pocket cover, inside the left pocket even on the shelter cover and several other places. it's really up to you where you think looks best and most convenient for you. I like where mine is but it is a little more work to get to the back side than some other locations might be.
good luck and holler back if you need any help
.

If your a smoker like me. I put mine in the left fairing lower, below the CB radio, so my right hand can stay on the grip, while I light up while riding. If you want it to power accessories, then I would mount it as close to the piece you want to power, just so you don't have excess wire hanging anywhere.

Mine must be the oddball. Either the P/o was very fast or had an extra right arm. The lighter is installed lower right fairing

Well, i put it on the right side.
I am not a smoker so its only a power source for me.
I didnt think about the cord hanging over things though, I took a couple pics, I think it looks OK. What do ya think?
