Good source for replacement driving lights

After my trip to WingDing this year, I discovered a crack in one of the lenses on my driving lights. I looked up the name and part number engraved on the back of the lights with no results. Did some shopping around the parts websites looking for 1200 driving lights, finding a couple sites that carried very similar lights to what I had. The part number was V562-1 at around $45-$60 a set. The same ones were on Ebay for around $60 w/free shipping. I decided to Google the part number and found them at Scrugg's Farm Supply (a John Deere dealer, go figure) for $21.99 plus shipping, totaling $33.50! \:d/ Obviously they're not painted green or they'd by 4 times as much! They're in Tupelo, Mississippi and I hope to have them in a few short days.
Yeah, needed to replace 'em anyway...the cheap chrome wasn't cleaning up so good anymore, LOL Hope this helps someone else... |

They're just 55w halogen driving lights. My others were disappointing after I did the HID conversion on the headlight. I like them mostly as daytime running lights, keeping the "original" look of the bike. They do light the sides of the road too. Haven't installed these yet, even though they arrived quickly. Been busy fabricating my brackets for the 1500 rotor covers. So much for "original", I know, but they sure are purty!

The HID is the only way to go if you really wanna light up the road, and the kits can be found for less than $70, free shipping, plus you get spare ballast and bulb with the car kits!
Check out the info in the tech center. |

If your looking at HIDs, check out ddmtuning. This is where I always order mine from. Great pricing, great customer service, and an amazing product!

Couldn't tell from that link, are they the bi-xenon bulbs, high/low beam? So many suppliers, including Iron Pony here in Columbus, only carry xenon kits, high or low,not both.
I loved the conversion so much I bought a kit for my Ram pickup. |

They have just about every bulb. In the drop down buttons you can choose high/low option. I think there is a small extra chrage. Can't remember for sure. I have a set of them in my Ram pick-up as well. Love them

OK I'm going to check them out in the tech center, but specific links to your favorite type would be nice. Thanks! |
