GL1200 jet needles

Hi Folks,
I am having a rich running problem on my 86 GL1200 Aspencade. I pulled the jet needles out of the carbs and found them to have a flat spot along the taper of the needles. I am assuming that these jet needles should be perfectly round along the entire length of the shaft. I have also looked at a friends needles and his are also showing a flat spot. 1. Should these needles be round along teh entire length of the shaft? 2. Anybody know where to get a replacement set of jet needles and jet needle holders? I cannot find a source for replacements anywhere. Thanks, Stephen. |

You might talk to this person:
http://www.randakks.com/Carb%20Parts.htm#9B
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

Yes, I have checked Randakk's website, I will be ordering a carb overhaul kit from him, but it does not include the jet needles.....

You could try calling these guys:
http://jetsrus.com/ You will need to know the Brand and Model info from your carbs. |

Try these people www.siriusconinc.com they have a store in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and somewhere in New York, USA and have the jet needles as part of a overhaul kit. I and a few friends have purchased them and installed them with no problems.
