The noise filter you posted the pic of is WAY different than mine..I'll borrow a digital camera and take a pic of it to let you see the difference..

Hey, damnbigtim, have you managed to borrow a digital camera yet? I'm kinda anxious about this filter working on my '84 now.

The filter arrived yesterday but I'm still not sure where and to what it connects. Anyone come up with a possible solution yet?

I had a SEi and it had a Panasonic noise filter on it from the factory. It was under the false tank right up front near the forks. It had two connectors and and was plugged in-line with the voltage regulator/rectifier.
