I removed the trunk lights to install LED's . I placed 40LED's where each bulb was . The wiring was a total mess. So much black tape and wires tied to each other that I just unplugged the whole mess and started tracing wires at plug. Only 2 wires are hot out of 6 in plug. The wiring schematic is is very hard for me to follow. Does anyone have any experience with this wiring ?
Any help would sure be appreciated . thanks in advance .

strange thing to have a six pin plug where normal wiring would think only two would be required,almost sounds like they might be wired to use as directional signals too

also are these "baglites" that are under the saddlebads all the way around

can you post a pics

I guess we need to wait till he gets back to us, it does seem like someone butchered something or other, maybe some kind of modulator installation

sounds like acc baglights to me have two examples of them hanging on the wall now

I cut a piece of plexiglass to fill the light pocket on each side . I then drilled 40 holes for LED's
& soldered the LED's in series because they are 3 volts each . I may have to dim the break lights done a little as they will blind you when they come on . Thanks to you all for your replies.
The schematic helps a lot . The led's came from old traffic lights I found in the trash . I can use the red and amber ones but haven't figured out just where to use the green yet .
