No but here goes.

Shut off gas petcock.
loosen gas line clamp below petcock
remove gasline (watch knuckles)
loosen clamp at fuel pump inlet.
remove gasline at fuel pump inlet (knuckles again)

From the left side of the bike you will see a philips screw holding the fuel filter bracket on. remove screw.

Now complete hose and fuel filter can be removed.

remember how and where hoses and clamp are situated (take digital photo0

replace filter in bracket.

replace hoses and tighten clamps.

Get 6 and then your good for a few years Smile

Check but I think your filter will be 1/4" inlet/outlet Honda dealer keep trying to give me the 5/16

5/16 is for 87 and later

EDIT Oops I see you have an 87 check anyway.

I have an 84 Interstate, just got her this spring. I put some super unleaded gas in it the other day, and noticed that on start up, she sputters for almost 10 mins. until she's really warmed up. I have since changed back to regular gas. I would assume that the engine is not used to such a high octane level, am I on the right track here, and should I continue to use just regular gas?

YES ChefPW, use regular gas. High octane does nothing for you other than empty your wallet faster. If you go into higher altitude riding (above 9,000 feet) you will note that the octane rating drops from 87 to usually 85 or so. That is normal and fine, higher altitude requires less octane to burn as there is less oxygen to burn with the gas. Always use regular gas.
Remember, No matter where you go...There you are!

Hi Y'all,
Any one have any tips on how to clean the injectors on my 86 SEi? A web site maybe? I haven't been able to find any thing in the manuals.
Thanks

When I first got mine running the injectors were quite gummed up from the bike setting for so long. All I did to clean them was use Gunk Fuel Injector cleaner in about 4 tankfulls of gas and it cleaned them right up!! I've since started using Seafoam as I've heard it's about the best cleaner available, but be carefull and don't use too much as it will cause problems with the rubber parts of the system.

Make sure you keep the throttle bodies clean as well as they can cause rough idle and poor fuel economy.
