Left Side Turn Signal
The light on the dash for the left side turn signal stays on all the time. Won't cancel. Any ideas? If it is the cancel unit, where can I get a replacement and approx cost. Money is tight as I just put a new starter on it.

Raptorman, what year and model bike do you have. i can try to check the prints. I suspect that it is shorted or ______ I'll know by looking at the print what type of setup it is.

There is the possbility that a left hand marker/directional light, dual filament bulb has shorted. The Marker side filament(10 amp/fuse 7) has broken and is touching the directional side filament (15 amp/fuse 5) causing it to backfeed to the left hand directional indicator light(dash) and the other LH directional lights. If this scenario happens, the Signal cancel,
directionals are completely bypassed and powered up continuously on the offending side. I'd check for a bad, dual filament bulb! ![]() Doug |

I have replaced all the turn signal bulbs. The left side is still on all the time and is bright. The right side works as advertised.

Could be the cancellation module but could also be the angle sensor at the bottom of the steering head, but, before you blame all that, make certain that all the fuses check good. Usually the simple things go first. Vic Raptorman, Here are some other items to check ![]() Doug |
